Jhunn Ian “Jack” Velasco was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. He moved to Houston in 2003, before emigrating to Manila to attend the Philippine College of Health Sciences for his BSN and now resides in Pearland, Texas. He now works as both a Clinical Documentation Specialist and a NICU nurse in Houston.

Jack originally joined FYP Houston to find a Filipino community and make new friends. He ended up finding a new family in the process and a tight-knit, loyal group of friends dear to his heart.

Now as our Webmaster, Jack hopes to present the very best of FYP Houston both on the internet as well as in-person events, in hopes of passing on the same magic that was shown to him when he first joined. He also actively dances with FYP Cultural Ambassadors and manages their social media pages!

In his spare time, Jack enjoys both shopping and going to AYCE (All You Can Eat) buffets with his friends, running and eating way more often than a normal person should, has run 3 world major marathons, and once ate 42 Lumpia for a contest. He has no regrets, though his injuries and cholesterol levels say otherwise.
