Filipino American National Historical Society - Houston, TX
and Filipino Young Professionals of Houston are partnering for a
Filipino American History Month (FAHM) close-out event!

We are looking for volunteers (individuals or groups) to display  decorated Banigs/Stations in the spirit of fall tradition and/or celebrating Filipino American History month!

Details for volunteers

  • Date: Saturday, October 30, 2021
  • Location: Alief Art House, Beechnut & Dairy View Houston, TX 77072; Street parking on Dairy View
  • Time: Set up begins at 3pm & plan to display your Banig/Station 5-7pm; afterwards, feel free to stay and enjoy a few films on the big screen including "Yellow Rose" movie beginning at 7pm
  • Job Description: Decorate a Banig/Station in an assigned spot on an open grass field - tables, canopy tents, banigs like mats and blankets welcomed. Please check out ideas below. (this is similar to a trunk or treat, but without the trunk)      - Costumes welcomed!
  • We will be socially distanced and masks are encouraged
  • Registration closes on October 20th

Candy donations using money online via FYP's Website for donations 

  1. Include your information
  2. Amount donating
  3. Frequency: one-time
  4. Choose: community outreach fund
  5. Comment: candy.
